This goes down in history as the all time best sequel to follow up any Animation movie ever created by mankind!!!!

Can you tell how excited I was to watch this? I was completely entertained every second. The dialogue, the growth in the characters, the plot; everything was beyond expectations.

Is it safe to say this is America’s favorite super hero family, next to Black Lightning?

The movie picks up where we left off 14 years ago, with the “Underminer” attacking the city. The opening scene is handled slightly as a foreshadow of who we’d get to see take on the most crime fighting throughout the movie. One thing that remains constant in this world is laws, so the Incredible family and other Supers are dealing with the same old “Supers should be Illegal vs Legal” controversy. When they are presented with the opportunity to “shift the perception,” Mr. Incredible jumps through hoops to convince his wife to be down. This opens up the story two fold, with Elastigirl going to Fight Crime while Mr. Incredible takes up the stay-at-home dad role.

Bob Parr as a stay at home dad gives us one of the best scenes to date in Animation history. We get a fighting scene better than Goku vs Jiren, we get Jack Jack vs Raccoon.

The movie continues with a villain appearing to stop Elastigirl at every mission. Bob trying to get a grasp on parenting. Jack-Jack having hilarious outbursts of Superpowers that react off emotion. Dash and Violet still Dash and Violet with their powers a little more refined.

Good thing is it ended in the same fashion as the first. Hopefully we don’t have to wait another 14 years for the follow up. Honestly though, if 14 years is what it takes for this good of a sequel to be made, I’ll be patient

Rating – 4.8/5
